5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 29 April 1915. Son of George and Jane Hare, of Beverley, Yorks. A member of the Volunteer and Territorial Forces from February, 1906. Killed 29 April 1915. Aged 25. (*)
Born Beverley (Yorks), Enlisted Beverley.
Buried VLAMERTINGHE NEW MILITARY CEMETERY.
(*) From this information, John Hare would have first served when only 16 years old.
