2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 29 September 1918. Aged 31.
Born Heselden (Durham), Enlisted Hartlepool, Resided Wingate (Co. Durham).
Buried SUCRERIE CEMETERY, EPINOY.

Neil Smith (<wiltshirebear@hotmail.com>), a great grandson, states that David Adams was born in April 1887 and was one of 9 children, and was the eldest boy in the family.

From the 1911 Census, David Adams married Jane Bryson, and they had a daugher Sarah. A son, Joseph (Neil Smith's grandfather), was born in 1914.

David Adams worked as a colliery haulier.
