Formerly resided at Kirbymoorside.
His father is a well known Ryedale Artist who a few years ago married Miss
Danby of Railway Cottages, Easingwold. They had 2 children. Ernest was a
splendid choralist at All Saint's church, Kirbymoorside. Formerly he was
apprentice to Mr Porritt, Wheelwright & joiner. He was also a former
territorial soldier for 14 years and spent 3 years as acting Sgt. Instructor.
He was employed also as a checker on the N.E.Railway Co. (Y.G. 2.2.18.)
