The War Memorial for Normanby village is on the side of a private house. It is a stone tablet inscribed with the names of the men of Normanby who gave their lives in the First World War. The house is located on the corner of High Street and West Street, about 100 metres before traffic lights. An extra name was added to the memorial on 16 November 2007 (see below).

On 16 November 2007, an additional name was added to the Memorial, - Serjeant Maurice B Mallinson of the Northumberland Fusiliers. A Dedication service was held, led by Revd Alan Leighton. The name addition was organised by Normanby Local History Group and Royal British Legion.
Serjeant Mallinson died on 1 October 1916.

Private John Robert Dale, 13059. 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Christopher George Dale, of 57, West St., Normanby, Eston, Yorks. Died 3 July 1916. Aged 30.

Private Rupert Gill, 36643. 18th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, formerly 24986 the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 5 August 1918.

Lieutenant Frank Hermiston. 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of James Hermiston, of 22, Parrington St., Normanby, Eston, Yorks, and the late Mrs. Hermiston. Killed 5 July 1916. Aged 25.
