The First World War Memorial for Nafferton is located on the Church Wall of All Saints' Church, Middle Street, Nafferton.
The memorial is a sandstone tablet with incised black lettering. Those who lost their lives are commemorated in the central panel, at the top. Those who served and returned are commemorated on the two side panels and the lower section of the central panel.

26 names are commemorated for those who lost their lives. 213 names are shown for those who served and returned.

Amongst the names commemorated on the memorial are those of 4 soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

Private Alfred Hood, 235805. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment), formerly 2983 the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 24 October 1918.
Enlisted Duffield (Derby).
Buried VERCHAIN BRITISH CEMETERY.
(SDGW entry for "enlisted at Duffield (Derby)" should be "enlisted at Driffield".)

Private Richard Moody. 240684. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Jane Moody, of High St., Napperton, Driffield, Yorkshire. Killed 17 September 1918. Aged 21.
Born Carnaby (Bridlington), Enlisted Bridlington, Resided Carnaby.
Buried CHAUNY COMMUNAL CEMETERY BRITISH EXTENSION.

Private John Reed. 2279. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Edwin and Mary Reed, of Bridlington Rd., Nafferton, Driffield. Killed 4 May 1915. Aged 22.
Born Bridlington, Enlisted Bridlington.
Buried BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY.

Private Harry Reed. 2278. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George and Eva Minnie Reed, of Nafferton, East Yorks. Killed 24 December 1915. Aged 20.
Born Bridlington, Enlisted Bridlington, Resided Nafferton (Yorks).
Buried VLAMERTINGHE MILITARY CEMETERY.
