Private Frederick Walter Baldwin, 337. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Emanuel and Margaret Baldwin, of Carlton-les-Helmsley, Yorks. Killed 15 September 1916. Aged 28.
Enlisted Malton, Resided Carlton (Helmsley).

Private Robert Douthwaite, 36419. 9th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Douthwaite, of Sproxton, Helmsley, Yorks. Killed 7 June 1917. Aged 22.
Enlisted Helmsley.
Commemorated Panel 33, Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Private John Holmes, 1123. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. Holmes and the late Isaac Holmes; husband of Alice Maud Holmes, of Bond Gate, Helmsley, Yorks. A former Policeman with the Middlesbrough Constabulary. Killed 25 October 1916. Aged 29.
Born Swinton (Malton), Enlisted Pickering, Resided Helmsley.

Serjeant Harry Houlston, 235737. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 2372 Royal Gloucester Hussars. Son of Mrs. S. A. Houlston, of Castlegate, Helmsley, Yorks. His father was the late Job Houlston. He was formerly a footman at Duncombe Park, and later in service with the Baron de Forest. Killed 27 May 1918. Aged 38.
Enlisted Gloucester, Resided Helmsley (Yorks).
Commemorated, the Soissons Memorial.

Private James William Pennock, 3234. 2/5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. H. S. Pennock, of 6, Edward St., Stockton-on-Tees. Died at home 11 December 1916. Aged 18.
Enlisted Darlington, Resided Helmsley.
Buried THORNABY-ON-TEES CEMETERY.

Private John William Richardson, 240036. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Robert and Faith Richardson, of Rievaulx, Helmsley, York. Killed 28 March 1918. Aged 26.
Born Thirsk, Enlisted Pickering, Resided Helmsley.
Commemorated Panel 31 and 32, Pozieres Memorial.

Private Thomas Edward Richardson. 241134. 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Faith Richardson, of Rievaulx, Helmsley, York, and the late Robert Richardson. Killed 19 October 1917. Aged 23.
