Private Nicholas Jacob. 10891. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Nickles and Bridget Jacob, of 47, Kendle St., Middlesbrough; husband of Annie Jacob, of 104, Calthorpe St., Middlesbrough. Killed 22 August 1915. Aged 36.
Born Middlesbrough, Enlisted Middlesbrough.

Private Thomas Jefferson. 11613. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. Catherine Jefferson, of 6, Hobson Terrace, Washington Station, Co. Durham. Killed 22 August 1915. Aged 18.
Born Tanfield, Enlisted Shiney Row, Resided Washington Station (Co. Durham).

Lance Corporal Albert Ernest Johnson. 10801. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 22 August 1915.
Born Thornaby (Yorks), Enlisted Stockton, Resided Stockton-on-Tees.
(Shown in SDGW as "L/Cpl Ernest Johnson. Records in the Pension Ledger shows that the effects of Albert Ernest Johnson, 10801, were left to his mother Catherine. Also ledger on "Effects of Soldiers" shows his name as Albert Ernest Johnson.)

Lance Corporal Thomas Keedy. 10831. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mary Ann Lowe (formerly Keedy), of 4, Crescent, Moor Crescent Rd., Dewsbury Rd., Leeds, and the late John Henry Keedy. Killed 12 August 1915. Aged 24.
Born Leeds, Enlisted Leeds, Resided Hunslet.

Born Leeds, Enlisted Leeds, Resided Blackpool.

Serjeant Matthew Kelly. 11058. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of Ruth Kelly, of 16, William St., Seaham Harbour, Co. Durham. Killed 22 August 1915. Aged 32.

Serjeant Joseph Kennally. 7623. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of Agnes Kennally, of 16, Brass St., Leeds. Served in the South African War. Employed at G P.O. (Middlesbrough). Killed 22 August 1915. Aged 32.

Private Albert Kirk. 16496. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of James and Mary Kirk, of 7, Arthur St., Ushaw Moor, Durham; husband of Greta Kirk, of 40, Jackson St., South Bank, Yorks. Killed 7 August 1915. Aged 23.
Born Eston, Enlisted Middlesbrough, Resided Grangetown.

Private John William Kirk. 10740. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George and Sarah Ann Kirk, of 34, V. R, Ashby, Scunthorpe. Killed 10 August 1915. Aged 21.

Private Richard Kirtley, 10853. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of Mary Ellen Kirtley, of 24, Spring St., Thornaby-on-Tees, Stockton-on-Tees. Killed on 21 August 1915. Aged 28.

Lance Corporal Harry Langshaw. 10634. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Frank and Ellen Langshaw, of 22, Wilton St., Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester. Killed 7 August 1915. Aged 19.
