"The above window is erected to the Honoured Memory of those men of this Parish whose names follow, and who loving not their lives unto death, fell in the service of their country in the Great War 1914 - 1918."
"To the Living - Gratitude       For the Dead - Remembrance       For Posterity - Imitation"

Private Henry Haw, 20312. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed on 27 September 1917.
Born Marske (Yorks), Enlisted Richmond (Yorks).
Commemorated Panel 52 to 54 and 162A, Tyne Cot Memorial.

Corporal Thomas Hutchinson, 33009. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed on 9 November 1918.
Born Urlay Nook (Durham), Enlisted Northallerton, Resided Urlay Nook.
Buried POZNAN OLD GARRISON CEMETERY.

Private Francis George Kendall. 7273. 1st/9th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, formerly 28751 the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 5 November 1916.
Born Millbecks (Yorks), Enlisted Richmond (Yorks), Resided Darlington.
Commemorated Pier and Face 14 A and 15 C, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
(Francis George Kendall's wife, Mary Metcalfe, was born in Grinton and they were married there.)

Private Henry Peacock, 241634. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed on 28 April 1917.
Enlisted Middleham.
Buried ST. SEVER CEMETERY EXTENSION, ROUEN.

(*) Pte Osborne Robinson was in the Australian Pioneers, but was the son of Mrs. Edith Robinson, of Osborne Cottage, Reith, Richmond, Yorkshire, England. He died on 8 February 1919, and is buried in the churchyard of St. John's, Warminster.
