The War Memorial for Mainsforth Colliery and Ferryhill Station is located on the side of a private house in a side road in Ferryhill Station. This memorial is one that takes quite a bit of looking for, as it is obscured by the trees and plants in the garden of this house and is situated away from the main road. At the bottom of this page are two photos illustrating just how obscure this memorial has become.

There are 86 names on this memorial, and there is a transcription of these names on the North East War Memorials Project website. Because of the vegetation obscuring much of the memorial, this transcription is extremely useful.
