The Bank Head Independent Methodist Church, Fence Houses, is located on Cross Street, - which branches off Front Street (the A1052). Cross Street itself is a short no-through road.
Inside the church is a brass plaque which commemorates the members of the church who lost their lives in the First World War. Only two men are commemorated, both soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment and the two of them being brothers.
We are very grateful to Norman Cummings (<norman_cummings@hotmail.co.uk>) for photographing this memorial plaque.
