(Name spelt "Rowarth" on the memorial and in SDGW, but his birth was registered under "Roworth").

Private Herbert Stephenson. 39133. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of John and Alice Stephenson, of Long St., Easingwold, York. Killed 28 September 1917. Aged 20.
