The Driffield War Memorial

The War Memorial for Driffield is a stone cross with a tapering octagonal shaft. It is located outside All Saints' Church, Middle Street North in Great Driffield.

133 names of those who lost their lives in the First World War are commemorated on the memorial, together with 46 names from the Second World War. Amongst the names commemorated are 39 for soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

A photograph of the dedication on the memorial is shown below, showing the position of some of the commemorative panels. Photos of all the panels, togetherwith a transcription of all names on the memorial, can be found on the Imperial War Museum's Register of War Memorials website.
