The memorial plaque in the Church of St. Michael, Didlington (Norfolk) commemorates just two names of men who lost their lives in the First World War.

The Breckland Roll of Honour website provides details of the names commemorated on the memorial.

One soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial. (Though he is incorrectly shown on the memorial as being in the West Yorkshire Regiment).

4th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 348921 9th T R Battn. Son of Hugh Richard and Mary Ann Hughes, of The Drifts, Didlington, Brandon, Suffolk. Native of North Walsham, Norfolk. Killed 5 May 1915. Aged 18.
Born North Walsham, Enlisted Attleborough, Resided Didlington (Bradlington).
Buried COLOGNE SOUTHERN CEMETERY.
