Wirksworth Cemetery (Derbyshire) includes a family headstone which commemorates a soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment who was killed in action. This family headstone is shown below.

The cemetery also includes the headstone of a man who died aged 110, and who led a remarkably full life. A photo of this headstone is shown out of interest.

Private Frederick John Redfern, 34014. 13th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 19016 AVC. Son of Martha Beardsley (formerly Redfem), of Oakstage House, Tansley, Matlock, and the late John Redfern. Killed 22 March 1918. Aged 21.
Born Matlock (Derby), Enlisted Derby, Enlisted Wirksworth (Derby)
Commemorated Bay 5, ARRAS MEMORIAL.
