  Private Thomas William Thompson. 2390. 2nd / 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of William and Mary Harriet Thompson, of Pickhill. Died 4 August 1915. Aged 25.
Enlisted Pickhill (Thirsk).
Private George Wallace
  Private George Wallace. 2388. 2nd / 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late James and Mary Wallace, of Pickhill. Died 4 March 1915. Aged 27.
Enlisted Pickhill (Thirsk).

(From the Regimental Numbers and Battalions of the two men, above, it can be surmised that they joined up together and would have been friends when living in Pickhill).
