Houghton-le-Spring (Durham Road) Cemetery contains 27 Commonwealth burials of the First and Second World Wars. 1 of the graves is that of a soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

There is a small plot for War Graves from the Second World War, but the First World War burials are scattered throughout the cemetery.
