Home

Chiswick Old Cemetery lies between St. Nicholas Churchyard and Corney Road, near the river. It belongs to the Urban District Council. It contains scattered War Graves and a War Cross is erected facing the Corney Road entrance, backed by a screen wall bearing the names of those whose graves are not marked by headstones.

There are 69 graves from both World Wars. One soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment is buried here, and his name is commemorated on the Screen Wall.

Karen Rootes, wife of a great-grandson of the Yorkshire Regiment soldier, has posted details of this soldier and his grave in Chiswick Old Cemetery on Ancestry.co.uk. We are very grateful for permission to use photographs provided by Karen that also appear on Ancestry.co.uk.
