One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on this War Memorial (see right hand image, above).


Private Leonard Swinscoe. 34075. 9th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 68075 Lincs Regt. Son of John and Theresa Swinscoe (nee Bagnall) of 21 Dryden Street, Nottingham ; husband of Edith Swinscoe (nee Self). Killed 11 October 1918. Aged 23.
Born Carlton (Notts), Enlisted Nottingham, Resided Carlton.
Buried ROISEL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION.
